XML Sitemaps – Creation and Submission to Google

Process for creating the link Site Map

To create XML Sitemaps, you must log into your WordPress installation on the website you want to submit to Google and go to the Yoast SEO plugin settings, specifically the "General" tab.

Just in case, If you don't have the Yoast SEO plugin installed, you should go directly to the Tab “Plugins” In your WordPress site, once inside, click on “Add new”, write Yoast SEO in the search box on the right and click on “Install now”. After activate it and it will direct you to all the WordPress plugins.

Let's continue where we left off. After entering the Tab “"General"”, click on “"characteristics"” and scroll down until you find the Word “XML Site Maps”.

Now, Click on the question mark and then on the link “View the XML site map”. It will redirect you to another tab and you must copy the page link, because it is the link to the “XML Sitemaps” which you should add to Google Search Console and send.

Process for adding a Sitemap in Google Search Console

You must log into your account Google Search Console, If you don't have one, you must create it.

Once you're in your account, on the left side of the screen you'll see an option to select the Website, below that is the Tab Sitemap, enter the tab and Add the Sitemap link that you had previously created in Yoast SEO. Don't forget to click submit and Google will happily accept it.
